Kelly Gaouette a loving wife and mother to a very active and energetic 2-year-old girl, Kelly along with her daughter Dylan are very active in the Grande Prairie, Alberta community, from dance lessons to attending a variety of kid/parent morning playgroups they like to stay productive. While Kelly has always had a “family first” attitude, her work/career/clients play a heavy second in her life.
Kelly began working in 2009 as an Office Administrator in Fort Nelson, BC. It was after a year of her being employed and learning many different roles and aspects of the job she realized how much she enjoyed this type of work and wanted to expand her knowledge and education. In 2012 Kelly began working at a Real Estate Office, where she had started working full time as the office assistant but then was accepted in the Northern Lights College in Fort Nelson BC Applied Business Technology Program, so she could obtain her Certification in Financial Assistant and Administrative Assistant. Kelly started her course in September 2012, while also continuing to work part-time at the real estate office during the duration of her 10-month program.
During the course of the year, Kelly realized her passion for the financial side had increased as the financial courses started to become a more prominent factor of her class schedules, she had learned manual bookkeeping Level 1 and 2, and Simply Accounting Level 1 and 2 for digital accounting purposes. That was when Kelly decided she wanted to continue on the financial path. Kelly graduated with honors from her College in June 2013 and obtained her Administrative Assistant and Financial Assistant Certificate from the Northern Lights College. Kelly continues to take courses locally and online to be able to better assist her clients with the best services available.
After College Kelly almost immediately began working at an employment agency in Fort Nelson, BC, where she was hired as the Financial Controller/Program Manager and she began her career working more in the accounting/Financial administrative role. In the summer of 2017 Kelly and her family made the very hard decision to relocate to Grande Prairie, Alberta, mainly to keep her family closer, for more opportunities for her daughter and to expand her growing bookkeeping business.
Kelly is a very determined and organized person with a strong drive to help all business owners. Some clients want to have someone handle all the paperwork for them, and others want to learn how to handle it themselves. Training and procedure set up is a service that Kelly offers on a regular basis. All training is specific to the clients business and can be modified for the ease of the client.
Being a business owner, and a busy parent, Kelly understands the importance of time and how limited it can be some days. Offering appointments during the day, evening, weekends and even some holidays, allows clients to meet and discuss services without taking time away from their busy work days.
